The French And Indian War

By: Savannah

The french and Indian war is about how the french and the British both wanted the same thing, the land of, Ohio river valley. Both of these countries are looking for one thing in common, which is land, but both of these countries are not just looking for land but are also looking for something else, what the french wanted is to have this piece of land because there are lots of rivers where beavers live and the french want to capture the beavers and sell there fur. What the British wanted the land for was the wonderful soil for growing crops. The Indians wanted to become part of the Frenches team, so that's why the British called it the french and Indian war. The British keeped on losing every battle they had because when they wore the bright red coats it made them a great target. Finally things changed for the french in 1759, because the British claimed land in Canada which was already the Frenches land. the french gave up so what that meant was that the British won and got the land in Canada and also got reworded with the land they have been fighting for. They were happy with the land they got but also found out that if that day was today, the dept they got would have been 30 billion dollars!
